This is a tool I´ve written for Centura Team Developer. It brings the well known
IntelliSense technology commonly found in development tools by Microsoft and Borland to
Centura. I´m talking about those tiny tooltips showing additional information where
appropriate.
IntelliSal also offers a lot of additional features and overall I´m pretty sure that it
greatly increases both a developer´s output as well as simply the comfort of programming.
I bet that once you have it, you´ll never want to give it back ;-)
Another tool I´ve written in VC++. As IntelliSal, this is also a tool that enhance
Centura´s Team Developer. This one help you move around some limitations of the build in
search dialog. With IntelliSearch you have a lot more options to search for including
boolean operators.
Also, the searching does not necessarily stop after the first found item but rather
displays all found items in a list which can easily be used for navigation.
This is ITGs latest projects. It opens the door for any COM automation client to use ANY Java class. There´s no individual registration for each class necessary. This Java bridge allows you to use Java code right away in (for example): Visual Basic, ASP, VBA, Cold Fusion, CTD, Delphi, ....
The best product I´ve used for web development. It uses a similar concept as Microsoft´s Active Server Pages but allows to use SAL code inside HTML, XML or WAP pages. SAL is the language that Centura´s Team Developer uses. I´m working with ITAP on one of my current projects for more than a year now and am still thrilled by its ease of use. It brings high performance, unlimited scalability with no special coding required AND last but of course not least it offers very GREAT debugging capabilities. If you´ve ever tried to debug a complex COM object, I´m sure you know how much this counts !
This is a cool tool that allows you to pack .EXE and .DLL files to save loading time and disk memory. It unpacks "on the fly" and is very easy to use.
This is a great tool for doing any kind of remote job. It´s almost like sitting at the remote computer. You can use it to access your database servers, your web servers, your work PC, etc. Of course it offers File transfer, etc. On Windows NT it can be installed as a service, that means you can even reboot your PC remotely and afterwards regain control of it. Or you still have full control after a reboot that has for example been caused by a power failure.
I´ve been used Norton Commander for DOS for ages and was really sad, when I found out that there´s no real good implementation available for Windows NT. But this was before I found Windows Commander. It is definitely a great (and cheap) tool that is worth every penny. You can synchronize directories with various options, use it for FTP transfer, etc.
